So another day is drawing to a close. Once again its been very busy, although camp seems a little empty at present.
With two whole Sectors out in the field there are a scattering of cadets left in camp. The Basic Cadre have spent the day shooting and looked quite worn out but happy at evening meal. They and 2 Sector, who just hours before returned from their two nights in the field, certainly wolfed down their food!
SCIC are still buoyant...the work mustn't be hard enough for them...or perhaps they are all just exceptionally well prepared. Having a mixture of cadets from across the Brigade this year, it is good to see senior cadets interacting with one another and getting on well.
This year we have attendants from all four counties, Warwickshire, Staffordshire, Shropshire and Hereford and Worcester.
JCIC are enjoying a slightly more relaxed evening, although tomorrow they will start their field exercise so kit preparation in the next few hours will be vital.
Their exercise will comprise of a command task, patrols and field routine, along with many more testing but enjoyable tasks to determine whether they are ready for promotion to Cpl.
Tomorrow will see 1 Sector return from their field exercise, which will fill the camp up considerably.
We hope you are enjoying the photograph updates...we will be putting up more as soon as possible.
We're crossing our fingers that the weather doesn't deliver the same as today...however our earlier update seems a little marred by the beautiful sunshine filtering across the parade square at present!
